Jason Vollweiler, MD, Joins North Shore Gastroenterology |
- CLEVELAND – Gastroenterologist Jason Vollweiler, MD, has joined the practice of North Shore Gastroenterology & Endoscopy Center, a Westlake-based gastrointestinal physician specialty group. North Shore Gastroenterology is well known for treating digestive disorders and diseases of the liver, pancreas, esophagus and gallbladder.
North Shore Gastroenterology’s co-founder and president Mousab Tabbaa, MD, says, “We are all pleased to have such a well-trained specialist join our team. Dr. Vollweiler’s advanced training in endoscopic and gastroenterological procedures is a welcome complement to the diagnostic and treatment capabilities of our practice.”
Dr. Vollweiler graduated from Northwestern University Medical School after completing a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. He trained in internal medicine at Duke University Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he served as chief gastroenterology fellow. He then served as an advanced endoscopy fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Vollweiler is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. His special interests include biliary tract disease, inflammatory bowel syndrome and ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), a procedure to diagnose diseases of the gallbladder, biliary system, pancreas and liver. He admits patients at EMH Regional Healthcare, Fairview, Lakewood, Lutheran, St. John West Shore and Southwest General hospitals.
He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
North Shore Gastroenterology & Endoscopy Center is a prominent 10-physician gastrointestinal specialty practice that treats digestive diseases such as heartburn and ulcerative colitis and disorders of the liver, pancreas, esophagus and gallbladder.
